Information provided in Dashboard reports

The Dashboard gives you a first glance into the health of your system, the status of your data protection jobs, SnapVault status for Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases. To understand the information provided in SnapCenter reports, it is helpful for you to know what information is provided and what it means. Similar reports display on the Reports pages.

Information displayed in the Dashboard view depends on the roles assigned to the user that is currently logged in to SnapCenter. Some tiles or information in the tiles might not display if a role assigned to a user does not have permission to view that information.

Host status tile

The host status tile gives you information about all hosts you have added to SnapCenter and the plug-ins you have installed on these hosts.
Note: After adding a new host or after starting SnapCenter, it might take several minutes for the host status to be updated in reports.
Host status
Host up The host is up and communicating with SnapCenter.
Host down SnapCenter is not able to communicate with this host.
Plug-ins inactive These hosts are up and communicating with SnapCenter but do not have plug-ins running.
