Backing up, restoring, and removing backups using PowerShell cmdlets

The SnapCenter Plug-in for Microsoft Exchange Server includes PowerShell cmdlets for scripting of backup and restore operations.

The following are common tasks you might perform using PowerShell cmdlets:

• Preparing the PowerShell environment
• Creating a storage system connection and a credential
• Backing up Exchange Server databases
• Restoring Exchange Server databases
• Removing backups

The information regarding the parameters that can be used with the cmdlet and their descriptions can be obtained by runningGet-Help command_name. Alternatively, you can also refer to the Cmdlet Reference Guide.
