Removing file systems and cache devices

NAS Bridge version 2.0.3 uses a new format for cache devices to improve performance. Before you upgrade, you must remove all file systems and cache devices. You will recreate these after you install the new software version.

Steps

  1. If you have one or more NFS file systems, record the following information for each cache device.
    Important: You must have this information to recreate these items after you upgrade to NAS Bridge version 2.0.3.

  2. If you have one or more SMB file systems, record the following information for each cache device.

  3. Follow the instructions in "Removing a file system" to unmount and remove all file systems shown in the user interface.
  4. Click Configuration > NFS Filesystems and Configuration > SMB Filesystems, and confirm that Intent Log Size is 0 for all file systems.

  5. Follow the instructions in "Removing a cache device" to remove all cache devices.
