Creating tenant accounts for Swift

You must create at least one Swift tenant account if your StorageGRID Webscale system will be accessed using the Swift REST API.

About this task

You can create additional Swift tenants if you want to segregate the objects stored on your grid by different entities. Each tenant account has its own groups and users and its own containers and objects. Tenant accounts can optionally use identity federation to allow federated groups and users access to the Swift client. If you want to use identity federation, you must configure a federated identity source (such as Active Directory or OpenLDAP). You can either use the same identity source that was configured for the Grid Management Interface, or the tenant account can configure its own identity source using the Tenant Management Interface.
