You must specify the IP addresses of the DNS and NTP services so the NAS Bridge can access them. Depending on your storage network and deployment goals, you can choose to use the Active Directory server or standalone network servers for the DNS and NTP services.

About this task

There are two options when adding DNS and NTP:

Steps

  1. Click Configuration at the top of the web page.
  2. Click DNS/NTP Servers under Network on the left side of the page.
  3. Define a DNS server.
    1. Click Add under DNS Servers.
    2. Type all of the required configuration information.
The IP address and priority must both be unique for all DNS servers defined to the NAS Bridge node. If you are using a single server for Active Directory and DNS, you must give this server the highest priority of all DNS servers in the NAS Bridge node. The lower the number, the higher the priority. For example, enter 1, assuming that no other DNS server uses a lower number.
    3. Click Save.
  4. Define an NTP server.
    1. Click Add under NTP Servers.
    2. Type all of the required configuration information.
    3. Click Save.
