Creating a logical interface

Depending on the design of your storage network and the number of file systems planned, you might need to create one or more additional logical interfaces (LIFs). Creating each LIF is a two-step process. Creating additional LIFs is optional.

A single IP address is assigned to the NAS Bridge virtual machine, either by using DHCP or setting a static IP address. NAS Bridge automatically creates a logical interface definition with the IP address. You can use this logical interface for both data and management traffic.
