Editing a user definition

A user with administrator privileges can edit a user account to change the email address or roles for OnCommand Insight or DWH and reporting functions.

Before you begin

Determine the type of user account (OnCommand Insight, DWH, or reporting or a combination) that needs to be changed.

About this task

For LDAP users, you can only modify the email address.


  1. Log into OnCommand Insight or DHW and reporting with Administrator privileges.
  2. In the Main Menu, click the User Management link.
  3. In the User Management list, locate the row that displays the user account you want to edit.
  4. Click the Edit link in that row to open the change window.
  5. Change the email address or select a different role.
  6. Click Update to save the user account settings.
    The main user list opens with the changes recorded.
