Generating a debug package

To assist in debugging errors and system bugs, NAS Bridge enables you to generate a debug package. You should generate a debug package when directed to do so by support.

About this task

Generating a debug package is a multistep process. First, you must generate the package at the NAS Bridge node, which captures the necessary logs and other internal information. When the package is ready, you can download the compressed tar.gz file to your local workstation. Also, if needed you can also generate an AutoSupport update.

Steps

Click Maintenance at the top of the web page.
Click Debug.
Click Generate Debug and wait for debug package to be created.
A green check mark appears in the Ready column when the package is created and ready for download.
To manage one of the debug packages displayed on the page, you can optionally do one of the following:
1. Click the send to ASUP icon to send an AutoSupport update to NetApp.
2. Click the download icon to download the debug package to your local workstation.
