To deploy virtual grid nodes on Linux hosts, you create node configuration files for all nodes, validate the files, and start the StorageGRID Webscale host service, which starts the nodes.
Steps
Creating node configuration files
Node configuration files are small text files that provide the information the StorageGRID Webscale host service needs to start the node and connect it to the appropriate network and block storage resources.
Validating the StorageGRID Webscale configuration
After creating configuration files in /etc/storagegrid/nodes for each of your StorageGRID Webscale nodes, you must validate the contents of those files.
Starting the StorageGRID Webscale host service
To start your StorageGRID Webscale nodes, and ensure they restart after a host reboot, you must enable and start the StorageGRID Webscale host service.
