OpenStack: Configuring ports for IP changes

When you make changes to the grid's network topology or use the Change IP tool to create or edit IP addresses, you must also perform port configuration in OpenStack.

About this task

Note: If you are adding an Admin or Client network to a node that did not previously have one, make sure the VM has the correct interface configured prior to performing the Change IP procedure. You may need to create an OpenStack port on the appropriate network and attach it to the VM. You must perform this step using the OpenStack command line or Horizon user interface; it will not be performed by the Change IP tool.
Note: If you are changing the IP address or subnet mask of an existing network (Grid, Admin, or Client), you may need to edit the existing OpenStack port, or create a new OpenStack port with the new IP configuration and replace the existing port. You should do this step prior to, or during, the Change IP procedure. You must perform this step using the OpenStack command line or Horizon user interface; it will not be performed by the Change IP tool.
