Adding a logical interface and routes to NAS Bridge

You can add a logical interface to NAS Bridge using an available virtual machine network adapter.

Before you begin

You must have the following information:

Also, you must have an available network adapter defined to the NAS Bridge virtual machine.


  1. Click Configuration at the top of the web page.
  2. Click LIFs/Routes under Network on the left side of the page.
  3. Click Add at the top of the page under Logical Interfaces.
  4. Enter the following configuration information.
    • Name - Unique name for the LIF
    • Interface - OS network interface (must begin with "eth")
    • VLAN - Optional number of the VLAN
    • Protocol - Static or DHCP (dynamic)
    • CIDR - IP address of the LIF in CIDR notation
  5. Click Save.
  6. To create a route, click Add under Route.
  7. Enter the following configuration information, associating it with the appropriate LIF.
    • Name - Unique name for the route
    • Logical interface - Associated LIF
    • CIDR - IP address for the route entry in CIDR notation
    • Gateway - IP address for the IP gateway
  8. Click Save.
