Depending on the design of your storage network and the number of file systems planned, you might need to create one or more additional logical interfaces (LIFs). Creating each LIF is a two-step process. Creating additional LIFs is optional.
About this task
A single IP address is assigned to the NAS Bridge virtual machine, either by using DHCP or setting a static IP address. NAS Bridge automatically creates a logical interface definition with the IP address. You can use this logical interface for both data and management traffic. Optionally, you can create additional LIFs if you want to:
- Separate the data and management traffic in your storage network.
- Define a large number of file systems.
Creating additional LIFs is optional.
