Depending on the design of your storage network and the number of file systems planned, you might need to create one or more additional logical interfaces (LIFs).
About this task
A single IP address is assigned to the
NAS Bridge, either by using DHCP or setting a static IP address.
NAS Bridge automatically creates a LIF definition with this IP address. You can use this logical interface for both data and management traffic. Optionally, you can create additional LIFs if you want to:
- Separate the data and management traffic in your storage network.
- Define a large number of file systems.
Creating additional LIFs is optional. Creating each LIF is a two-step process.
