Installing a root certificate

If you want to validate the Transport Layer Security (TLS) connection between StorageGRID and NAS Bridge, and StorageGRID is using custom Storage API Server certificates, you must install a root certificate from the issuing certificate authority (CA) on the NAS Bridge.

Before you begin

About this task

Only one custom root certificate can be installed on each NAS Bridge virtual machine. If you install a new certificate, any previously installed certificate will be replaced.

  1. Sign in to the NAS Bridge web interface.
  2. Select Configuration > Server Certificates.

    Server Certificates
  3. Click Browse.
    A file browser window opens.
  4. Select the root certificate file to upload and click Install Certificate.
The certificate is installed, and the TLS connection between StorageGRID and the NAS Bridge can now be validated.
