You can use SANtricity System Manager to monitor the status of the storage controllers, storage disks, and other hardware components in the storage controller shelf.
Setting the IP addresses for the storage controllers
Management port 1 on each storage controller connects the appliance to the management network for SANtricity System Manager. You must set a static IP address for each storage controller to ensure that you do not lose your management connection to the hardware and the controller firmware in the controller shelf.
Accessing SANtricity System Manager
You can monitor and manage the hardware in the storage controller shelf by browsing to SANtricity System Manager, which is included on the storage controllers.
Setting up SANtricity System Manager
After accessing SANtricity System Manager, you can use it to configure hardware settings. Typically, you configure these settings before deploying the appliance as a Storage Node in a StorageGRID system.
Reviewing the hardware status in SANtricity System Manager
You can use SANtricity System Manager to monitor and manage the individual hardware components in the storage controller shelf and to review hardware diagnostic and environmental information, such as component temperatures, as well as issues related to the drives.
