View the Value Insights dashboard to access health, savings, stability, and security information for your ONTAP system.

Steps

  1. Select Customer Success > Value Insights.

  2. In the Overall health, and how NetApp can help area, you can view the overall health score for your ONTAP system as a percentage. This score is based on the KPIs.

    • Select More recommendations to see all KPIs:

      KPI Description

      Address suggestions for sustainable operations

      Provides recommendations for sustainable system operations.

      Resolve security hardening risks on your clusters

      Evaluates security risks associated with each system.

      Plan firmware and system file updates

      Checks if systems are running the latest firmware and suggests updates. This includes a detailed view for planning firmware updates.

      Review tech refresh options (EOL)

      Evaluates the need for technology refreshes.

      Enabling AutoSupport (ASUP) on your clusters

      Monitors the status of AutoSupport (ASUP) on clusters.

      Plan an upgrade to the latest recommended ONTAP Version

      Assesses the software version of systems and recommends updates.

      Assess storage expansion options

      Assesses current storage efficiency and expansion needs. Provides forecasting for future capacity requirements.

      Contract renewals

      Evaluates the status of support contracts and provides recommendations for renewals.

      Proactively monitor to prevent unplanned cluster downtime

      Provides the number of unplanned downtimes across clusters.

    • Select How is this calculated? for specific KPI calculations. Scroll down for system details, including: full score, partial score, and zero score.

  3. Select NetApp delivered savings and stability to view details on your Return on Investment (ROI).

    Select to edit the cost or expenditure per TiB.

    Storage efficiency value

    Select to open the ROI dashboard.

    Storage uptime value

    View the value and select the System number value for more detail.

    ASUP ID

    If applicable, select to view the issue or event causing downtime or an outage.

    Risks detected and prevented

    Select to view the associated data from the last 3 months.

    View wellness history

    Select for a summarized view.

    Risk value

    Select each Risk value to access the associated data from the last 3 months.

  4. Select the Security and planning for the future area to view information about security.

    Feature Description

    Security threats neutralized

    Select to view security details.

    Security issues resolved

    Select to open the Wellness history page.

    Auto Firmware Updates

    Select to open firmware types and upgrade details.

    Autonomous ransomware protection AI/ML model

    Select to open details about the model.

    Projected savings from efficiencies

    • Select the Image of the edit button icon next to Forecasted storage efficiency savings to edit the cost per PiB.

    • Select the Storage capacity headroom percentage to open the Capacity and Efficiency page.

    • Select Lifecycle planning.

    • Select the tool values to open the respective ONTAP detail pages: System Refresh, Storage Expansion, and Support Renewals.

      Note This feature is exclusive to ONTAP systems and is not available for platforms such as Cloud Volumes ONTAP, ONTAP Select, StorageGRID, or E-Series.

  5. Select How to maximize infrastructure value to view information on active capabilities and available optimization.

    • Select Active capabilities to view system details.

    • Select Available optimization opportunities to view suggestions.
