Required access roles

Super admin, Organization admin, Folder or fleet admin, or Storage admin. Learn about access roles.

Automated provisioning typically selects best-fit placement from available systems in the fleet based on capacity and performance headroom, then provisions the workload with settings aligned to the storage class.

Before you begin

  • Ensure at least one ONTAP cluster is discovered in the target fleet.

  • If you want class-driven outcomes, ensure the storage class exists and is associated with the fleet.
