Create and manage protection reports for Kubernetes workloads in NetApp Backup and Recovery
In NetApp Backup and Recovery, create protection reports for Kubernetes workloads to view protection status and details, including counts of successful and failed backups, backup types, cluster health information, and more.
Required NetApp Console role
Backup and Recovery super admin, Backup and Recovery backup admin, or Backup and Recovery restore admin. Learn about Backup and recovery roles and privileges. Learn about NetApp Console access roles for all services.
Create a protection report
Create a protection report to view protection status of your clusters.

From the NetApp Backup and Recovery menu, select the Reports option.

Select Create report.

Enter report scope details:

Report name: Enter a unique name for the report.

Report type: Choose whether you want a report by account or by workload (select Kubernetes from the list).

Select cluster: If you selected by workload, choose the cluster from the list for which you want to generate the report and select Accept. Choose Select all to generate a report for all clusters.

Enter reporting range: Choose whether you want the report to include data from the last day, last 7 days, last 30 days, last quarter, or last year.

Enter report configuration details: Choose whether to run the report only once or to schedule a recurring report generation. For scheduled reports, choose the frequency of recurrence and select a start date.

Enter email delivery details: (For scheduled reports only) If you want the report to be delivered by email, enter one or more email addresses that should receive the scheduled report.
Configure email notifications in the Settings page. For details about configuring email notifications, see Configure settings.

Select Create.
Download a protection report
Download a generated protection report either as a JSON file or a PDF document so you can view and share it.

From the NetApp Backup and Recovery menu, select the Reports option.

On the Reports page, select the Reports menu to see the list of generated protection reports.

For the report that you want to download, select the Actions icon
> Download.-
Select Download JSON to download the report in JSON format.

Select Download PDF to download the report as a PDF document.

View a protection report
Quickly view interactive details of a protection report within NetApp Backup and Recovery. You can see job summary information, data protection status, configuration details, and more.

From the NetApp Backup and Recovery menu, select the Reports option.

On the Reports page, select the Reports menu to see the list of generated protection reports.

For the report that you want to view, select the Actions icon
> View report.The report details appear.
Delete a protection report
Delete a protection report when you no longer need it.

From the NetApp Backup and Recovery menu, select the Reports option.

On the Reports page, select the Reports menu to see the list of generated protection reports.

For the report that you want to delete, select the Actions icon
> Delete. -
Confirm the action by selecting Delete.
