Automated deployment of FlexPod Datacenter is available through the FlexPod Datacenter GitHub repositories. These repositories contain Ansible playbooks and related files to facilitate the deployment of FlexPod Datacenter infrastructure as code (IaC).

The GitHub repositories provide a structured approach to deploying FlexPod Datacenter configurations, allowing users to automate the setup and management of their infrastructure. These include playbooks for various components of the FlexPod Datacenter design, ensuring that users can efficiently deploy and maintain their environments with consistency and reliability.

  • Automated deployment of FlexPod Datacenter with Base Configuration

    • For automated deployment of a Base FlexPod Datacenter configuration with Cisco Nexus Switches, Cisco UCS C-Series Servers or Cisco UCS X-Series Direct with IMM and NetApp ONTAP, refer to the FlexPod Datacenter Base Configuration with Cisco IMM and NetApp ONTAP GitHub repository and the corresponding CVD.

    • This repository includes Ansible playbooks and related files to facilitate the deployment of a base FlexPod Datacenter configuration. Tenants for various hypervisors, bare metal OS, and applications can then be configured on top of FlexPod Base.

  • Automated deployment of FlexPod Datacenter with VMware vSphere and Cisco IMM

    • For automated deployment of a FlexPod Datacenter configuration with Cisco Nexus Switches, Cisco UCS C-Series Servers or the Cisco UCS X-Series Direct with IMM and NetApp ONTAP with VMware vSphere, refer to the FlexPod Datacenter with VMware vSphere and Cisco IMM GitHub repo and the corresponding CVD.

    • VMware roles defined in the Ansible playbooks can be used for vmware related configurations.

Note In this repository, FC boot with FC-NVMe and NFS is configured by default in the variable files, but iSCSI boot and NVMe-TCP with NFS can also be used.

  • Automated deployment of FlexPod Datacenter with Red Hat OpenShift and Cisco IMM

    • For automated deployment of a FlexPod Datacenter configuration with Cisco Nexus Switches, Cisco UCS X-Series Direct with IMM and NetApp ONTAP with Red Hat OpenShift, refer to the FlexPod Datacenter with Red Hat OpenShift and Cisco IMM GitHub repo.

    • This repository can be used for setting up Cisco devices and NetApp ONTAP Storage in preparation for Installing Red Hat OpenShift as covered in the CVD.

Note This repository has options for configuring local boot with NFS, iSCSI, NVMe-TCP and ONTAP S3 storage protocols.
