Delete a cache relationship
Availability: This command is available to cluster and Vserver administrators at the admin privilege level.
Description
The volume flexcache delete
command deletes the specified FlexCache volumes and their relationships.
NOTE:
-
FlexCache volumes must be offline (see volume offline ) to be deleted.
Parameters
-vserver <vserver name>
- Vserver-
This specifies the name of the Vserver from which the FlexCache volume is to be deleted.
-volume <volume name>
- Cache Volume Name-
This specifies the name of the FlexCache volume that is to be deleted.
[-foreground {true|false}]
- Foreground Process-
This specifies whether the operation runs in the foreground. The default setting is
true
(the operation runs in the foreground). When set to true, the command will not return until the operation completes.
Examples
The following example deletes FlexCache volume "fc1":
cluster1::> flexcache delete -volume fc1 -vserver vs34 (volume flexcache delete) Error: command failed: Volume fc1 in Vserver vs34 must be offline to be deleted. Use "volume offline -vserver vs34 -volume fc1" command to offline the volume
cluster1::> volume offline -vserver vs34 -volume fc1 Volume "vs34:fc1" is now offline.
cluster1::> flexcache delete -volume fc1 -vserver vs34 (volume flexcache delete) [Job 891] Job succeeded: Successful
cluster1::> flexcache delete -volume fc1 -vserver vs34 -foreground false (volume flexcache delete)
