Schemes window
The Schemes window displays the available schemes and enables you to manage the schemes. OnCommand Workflow Automation (WFA) uses schemes to acquire data relevant to an environment.
A scheme represents the data model for a system. The data model is a collection of dictionary entries. You can define a scheme and then define a data source type. The data source defines how the data is acquired and the scheme is populated. For example, a vc scheme contains data relevant to your virtual environment, such as virtual machines, hosts, and datastores.
Schemes table
The Schemes table lists the available scheme entries. Each entry is identified as one of the following:

- content created by users
-
- content developed by Professional Services (PS), which is available only on custom installations made by PS

- packs developed by users
-
- content created by users that is locked
-
- NetApp-certified content
You can customize the table display by using the filtering and sorting features available for each column, as well as by rearranging the column order.

enables or disables filtering for the entire table. A red "x" appears over the icon if filtering is disabled.

Double-clicking clears and resets the filtering selections.

on each column header enables you to filter based on the content of the columns. Clicking in a column allows you to filter on a specific item from the drop-down list or on all available items.

Clicking the column header toggles between ascending and descending order of sorting. You can identify the applied sort order by the sort arrows ( for ascending and for descending).

To rearrange the location of columns, you can drag and drop columns to place them in any required order. However, you cannot hide or delete any of these columns.

Clicking the Search filter text box allows you to search for specific content. In addition, you can search using supported operators for the applicable column type, Alphabetic or Numeric.
The Schemes table contains the following columns:

Certification
Indicates whether the scheme is user-created (), PS (), community (), user-locked (), or NetApp-certified ().

Name
Displays the name of the scheme.
You can search for a scheme by entering its name in the Search filter text box.

Display Name
Displays the name of the scheme.
You can search for a scheme by entering its name in the Search filter text box.

Entity Version
Displays the version number of the object in
major.minor.revision
format—for example, 1.0.0.You can search for a scheme by entering the version number in the Search filter text box.

Description
Displays the description of the scheme.
You can search for a scheme by entering its description in the Search filter text box.

Type
Indicates whether the scheme is used to acquire data from a remote system or directly from workflows or commands. Possible values are Data Source Acquisition and Other.
You can search for schemes by entering the type in the Search filter text box.

Reset Flag
Indicates whether the scheme is reset during the next data acquisition cycle. Possible values are true and false.

Last Updated On
Displays the date and time when the scheme was last updated.
You can search for schemes by selecting the required time category from the filter drop-down list.

Updated By
Displays the name of the user who updated the scheme.
You can search for schemes by entering the user name in the Search filter text box.

Locked By
Displays the name of the user who locked the scheme.
You can search for schemes by entering the user name in the Search filter text box.
Toolbar
The toolbar is located above the column header. You can use the icons in the toolbar to perform various actions. These actions can also be accessed from the right-click menu in the window.

(New)
Opens the New Schemes dialog box, which enables you to create a new scheme.

(Edit)
Opens the Scheme <SchemeName> dialog box for the selected scheme, which enables you to edit the scheme.

(Lock)
Opens the Lock the Scheme confirmation dialog box, which enables you to lock the selected scheme. This option is enabled only for the schemes that you created.

(Unlock)
Opens the Unlock the Scheme confirmation dialog box, which enables you to unlock the selected scheme. This option is enabled only for the schemes that you locked. Administrators can unlock schemes that are locked by other users.

(Delete)
Opens the Delete Scheme confirmation dialog box, which enables you to delete the selected user-created schemes.
You cannot delete a WFA or PS scheme. -
(Export)
Enables you to export the selected user-created scheme.
You cannot export a WFA or PS scheme. -
(Reset Scheme)
Enables you to reset the scheme during the next data acquisition cycle.

(Add To Pack)
Opens the Add To Pack Schemes dialog box, which enables you to add the scheme and its dependable entities to a pack, which is editable.
The Add To Pack feature is enabled only for schemes for which the certification is set to None. -
(Remove From Pack)
Opens the Remove From Pack Schemes dialog box for the selected scheme, which enables you to delete or remove the scheme from the pack.
The Remove From Pack feature is enabled only for schemes for which the certification is set to None.
