SNMPはスイッチの監視に使用されます。イーサネットスイッチヘルスモニタ（CSHM）は、SNMPを使用してクラスタスイッチとストレージスイッチのヘルスとパフォーマンスを監視します。デフォルトでは、SNMPv2cはリファレンス構成ファイル（RCF）を使用して自動的に設定されます。
SNMPv3は、認証、暗号化、メッセージ整合性などの堅牢なセキュリティ機能を備えているため、SNMPv2よりも安全です。これにより、不正アクセスから保護し、転送中のデータの機密性と整合性を確保できます。
