Data brokers overview

The data brokers endpoints provide information about the data brokers in an account and enable you to perform various operations on the data brokers. The following actions can be performed with the data brokers endpoints:

  • Retrieve data broker information (including type, group ID, address, operating system, node version, VPC, Vnet, and more)

  • Delete a data broker

  • Restart a data broker

  • Modify a data broker's proxy configuration

  • Move a data broker between groups

  • Retrieve data broker's local configuration

There are a few deprecated API calls to use a data broker to retrieve information from the customer network utilizing the network permissions, such as retrieve S3 buckets, retrieve CIFS shares, and more. The deprecated operations are as follows:

  • Retrieve S3 buckets

  • Retrieve CIFS shares

  • Retrieve NFS exports

  • Retrieve Azure containers

  • Retrieve NFS export folders

  • Retrieve CIFS share folders

  • Retrieve S3 bucket folders
