Accept and configure an AWS Marketplace private offer for NetApp Cloud Insights

Accept a Marketplace private offer for NetApp Cloud Insights in the AWS console. Connect the AWS subscription to a Cloud Insights working environment.

Before you begin

  • Work with NetApp sales to create a private offer and obtain the offer link.

  • Work with NetApp sales to create a Cloud Insights working environment and add your email with the Owner role.

  • Ensure you have the required
    AWS Marketplace permissions

Accept the private offer in the AWS console

Important

You must complete all steps to activate your private offer. Skipping steps may cause activation issues or billing errors, including double charging.
Steps

  1. Click the private offer activation link provided by your NetApp sales team. The link should look similar to the following:
    https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/saas/ordering?productId=aaa&offerId=offer-aaa

    Note

    If you did not receive an activation link, you can view all private offers in the AWS console.

    • Required managed policies: AWSMarketplaceRead-only, AWSMarketplaceManageSubscriptions, or AWSMarketplaceFullAccess

    • If using custom IAM policies: aws-marketplace:ListPrivateListings and aws-marketplace:ViewSubscriptions

  2. You are redirected to AWS Marketplace to view and accept the private offer.

    Note

    Private offers are created on top of public listings. Use the Offer selection dropdown to switch between public and private offers.

  3. Review the private offer details and validate that they match your agreement.

    1. If information is incorrect, do not accept. Contact your NetApp sales team to amend the offer.

    2. Billing begins once you select Subscribe.

      Note

      Two private offer types exist in AWS:

      • On-demand usage

        • Pricing information

        • Legal terms

      • Contract

        • Duration and dates

        • Renewal settings

        • Contract options

        • Total contract price

      For contract offers, enter the number of managed units as agreed upon.

  4. To accept the private offer:

    1. For on-demand usage, click Subscribe.

    2. For contract offers, enter the number of managed units for each service and click Create contract.

  5. After acceptance, a banner confirms that you successfully subscribed and provides next steps.

  6. Click Set up your account. This redirects you to NetApp Cloud Insights to configure your Marketplace subscription.

    Note

    If the offer was accepted but registration not completed, return to the product page. You will be prompted to complete registration.

    For contract offers, click View purchase options to view the private offer, then select Set up your account.

Connect the subscription to Cloud Insights

Steps

  1. You are redirected to https://cloudinsights.netapp.com and prompted to sign in with your BlueXP account.

  2. Log in with an account that has the Owner role. The subscription associates with your Cloud Insights working environment.

    Note

    This step is required only once for each subscription. Renewals and add-ons are applied automatically.

  3. The subscription is now connected.
