Discover E-Series systems

BlueXP can discover the E-Series systems in your on-premises environment. Adding E-Series systems to BlueXP enables you to get a complete view of the data across your hybrid multicloud.

Required BlueXP role

Organization admin, Folder or project admin, Storage admin, or System health specialist. Learn about BlueXP access roles.

Before you begin

You need the following:

  • A Connector installed in a cloud provider or on your premises, with network connectivity to the E-Series system. You must have the Org admin role to create a Connector.

  • The domain name or IP address of the storage system controller.

  • Admin credentials for the E-Series system.

  • One of the following BlueXP access roles: Org admin, Folder or project admin, or Storage admin.

Steps

  1. From the navigation menu, select Storage > Canvas.

  2. From the Canvas, select Add Working Environment and select On-Premises.

  3. Next to E-Series, select Discover.

  4. If you're prompted, create a Connector.

    Refer to the link above for more details.

  5. On the E-Series Cluster Details page, enter the domain name or IP address of the storage system controller, admin credentials for the system, and then select Add.

Result

BlueXP discovers the E-Series system and adds it as a working environment on the Canvas.
