Save storage array diagnostic data
The save storageArray diagnosticData
command saves the storage array diagnostic data from either the controllers or the environmental services modules (ESMs) to a file.
Supported Arrays
This command applies to any individual storage array, including the E4000, E2700, E5600, E2800, E5700, EF600 and EF300 arrays, as long as all SMcli packages are installed.
Roles
To execute this command on an E4000, E2800, E5700, EF600, or EF300 storage array, you must have the Storage Admin role.
Context
You can review the file contents at a later time. You can also send the file to technical support for further review.
After you have saved the diagnostic data, you can reset the NVSRAM registers that contain the diagnostic data so that the old data can be overwritten. Use the reset storageArray diagnosticData
command to reset the diagnostic data registers.

Notes
In versions of this command before 7.77, the user option was esm
instead of tray
. Starting in 7.77, tray
replaces esm
. The use of esm
is still supported, but for best compatibility with future releases, replace esm
with tray
.
