mlm.PRregistration.failed
- Severity
-
ERROR
- Description
-
This message occurs when the registration of a SCSI persistent reservation key fails. A number of conditions can cause this SCSI command to fail and most are transitory in nature. If there is not a subsequent EMS_mlm_PRregistration_succeeded message, it is indicative of a persistent hardware fault.
- Corrective Action
-
A SCSI persistent registration failure normally indicates an error at the device during execution of the requested command. Such cases are often the result of an intermittent device hardware that is automatically handled by the Data ONTAP® drivers through retries. In cases of repeated events, the specified device should be evaluated for proper operation and possible repair or replacement.
- Syslog Message
