If you are configuring your switches as part of a new AFX 1K or AFX 2K system installation, a switch replacement, or a reset to factory default settings, to use the Ethernet switch health monitor(CSHM) log collection feature, you must verify that SSH is enabled on the switches.
You must be connected to the switch using the serial console.

Verify that SSH is enabled:
(switch) show ssh server ssh version 2 is enabled

Verify that the SSH keys are enabled:
show ssh keyShow example

After you've verified SSH is enabled for log collection, you configure Ethernet switch health monitoring.

After you've configured Ethernet switch health monitoring, if you want to take advantage of Cisco's Smart Call Home support feature, you configure Smart Call Home.
