Change the default nconnect value for ESXi hosts in ONTAP tools

Contributors jani

Use this task to change the default number of connections (nconnect) for ESXi hosts in a selected vCenter Server.

About this task
  • The nconnect value set on this page is the host-level default.

  • This setting applies to all ESXi hosts in the selected vCenter Server for NFSv3 and NFSv4 protocols.

  • If you create an NFS datastore with a higher nconnect value than the current host-level setting, ONTAP tools updates the host-level setting to match.

Note This change applies to all ESXi hosts in the selected vCenter Server. .Steps
  1. Log in to the vSphere Client.

  2. Select Shortcuts > NetApp ONTAP tools under the plug-ins section.

  3. Select Settings > Default nconnect value.

  4. Select Edit.

  5. Enter the new default nconnect value for ESXi hosts and select Save.

Result

The updated nconnect value is applied to all ESXi hosts in the selected vCenter Server for NFSv3 and NFSv4 protocols.
