A Connection refused message indicates that the CIM server used by NetApp SMI-S Provider has not been started. Verify the CIM server status and start it if needed.

    The CIM server has not been started.

  • Corrective action

    Navigate to the bin directory in the directory in which you installed NetApp SMI-S Provider, and enter the following command to verify that the CIM server is started:

    smis cimserver status

    If the CIM server is not running, enter the following command:

    smis cimserver start
