Nonforcibly stopping the daemon

If your SnapDrive for UNIX configuration file is changed, you must stop the daemon for the configuration file changes to take effect. After the daemon is stopped and restarted, the changes in the configuration file take effect. Nonforcibly stopping the daemon allows all queued commands to complete execution. After the stop request is received, no new commands are executed.

You must be logged in as a root user.

  1. Enter the following command to nonforcibly stop the daemon:

    snapdrived stop
