Customize cards in NetApp Console local deployment

Contributors netapp-tonias netapp-ml94669

In NetApp Console local deployment, customize dashboard cards when you need to focus operators on the signals that matter most, such as SLA risk, capacity pressure, or recurring alert noise. Use this topic to shape dashboard views around the operational decisions your team needs to make.

Before you begin

Add cards while refining an existing dashboard

Use this option when you are refining an existing dashboard and need to quickly add cards that answer a specific operational question.

Steps
  1. Open the dashboard you want to add a card to.

  2. Select Add Card.

  3. Select the Resource type for the card, such as fleet, system, or volume and then choose resources from the list of available resources.

  4. Select Next to continue to choose a metric and card type.

  5. Choose a metric to display. You can filter the available metrics by type: the Metric Type: Performance, Capacity, Health, or Alerts or search for a specific metric by name. The available metrics depend on the resource type you selected.

  6. Select a card to include in the dashboard and select Next.

You can only select one card at a time. The card preview shows live data for the selected metric and resource type.

  7. Name your card. The name must be unique within the dashboard.

  8. Review the card preview, enter a card name and description, and then select Add.

  9. Repeat these steps for additional cards.

  10. Save the dashboard.
