Description

This message occurs when ONTAP detects that a cable is attached to an I/O module port that is permanently disabled and does not support attachment.

Corrective Action

Remove the cable from the unsupported port on the I/O module.

Syslog Message

Port 0b2 on shelf ID %lld.%s, cable detected on unsupported port.

Parameters

shelfID (LONGINT): Shelf ID of the shelf reporting the error.
element (STRING): I/O module designator (A or B).
