Manage cluster configuration in ONTAP tools

Contributors jani

Use this task to view, edit, and remove host cluster configuration settings in ONTAP tools so site assignments remain accurate for host cluster protection.

Before you begin
  • Ensure you have administrative privileges in vSphere.

  • Ensure your ONTAP tools user account has permissions to manage host cluster protection settings.

Steps
  1. In the ONTAP tools plug-in, navigate to Protection > Cluster protection configuration.

The host cluster configuration settings are listed with their configuration type, SVMs, and hosts.

  2. Select the vertical ellipsis (three dots) next to the host cluster configuration setting you want to manage:

    1. To edit a configuration, select Edit and update the required settings. For more information, refer to Configure cluster for datastore protection with ONTAP tools.

When a new host is added to a cluster, existing cluster configuration settings are not automatically applied to that host. Edit the existing cluster configuration and assign the new host to the appropriate site.

    2. To remove a configuration, select Remove and confirm the deletion in the dialog box.
