Manage custom dashboards

Contributors netapp-sineadd netapp-rlithman

Manage your custom dashboards from the dashboard catalog. From there, you can view details, share dashboards, refresh data, or delete dashboards you no longer need.

About this task

You can view and manage custom dashboards from the dashboard catalog. Private dashboards are only visible to you, while public dashboards are visible to all users in your Workload Factory account. Each dashboard shows basic details such as the creator’s name, the creation date, and a visibility label (Private or Public).

Custom dashboards are read-only. They cannot change your storage or workload settings.

Before you begin

You must have at least one custom dashboard in your Workload Factory account.

Access the dashboard catalog

Steps
  1. Log in using one of the console experiences.

  2. From the menu, select Workloads Overview and then Custom dashboards.

The dashboard catalog shows all custom dashboards in your Workload Factory account.

  3. Review the dashboard list.

Change dashboard visibility

Make a dashboard public to share it with your team. Make it private to stop sharing it.

Steps
  1. In the Custom dashboards page, locate the dashboard you want to update.

  2. From the Actions drop-down menu The three-dot icon that opens the actions menu for that dashboard, select one of the following:

    • Share dashboard - Makes the dashboard visible to all users in your Workload Factory account

    • Change to private dashboard - Makes the dashboard visible only to you

Result

The dashboard updates immediately. The visibility label on the dashboard card shows the current status.

Refresh dashboard data

Dashboard data loads when you open a dashboard. You can refresh it to see the latest information.

The dashboard reloads data from your workloads. The last updated time changes to show when the data was refreshed.

Delete a dashboard

Delete dashboards you no longer need. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Steps
  1. In the Custom dashboards page, locate the dashboard you want to remove.

  2. From the Actions drop-down menu for that dashboard, select Delete.

  3. Confirm the deletion.

Result

The dashboard is permanently removed from your Workload Factory account, and all users lose access to it.
