Deployment workflow for adding an iSCSI datastore as supplemental storage in a VCF management domain

Contributors netapp-jsnyder sureshthoppay netapp-lhalbert kevin-hoke

Get started with adding an iSCSI datastore as supplemental storage for a VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) management domain. You'll set up a Storage Virtual Machine (SVM) with logical interfaces (LIFs) for iSCSI, configure iSCSI networking on vSphere hosts, deploy ONTAP tools for VMware vSphere, and create a VMFS datastore.

Review the requirements for adding iSCSI datastores as supplemental storage to VCF management domain.

Create an SVM with multiple LIFs for iSCSI traffic.

Set up networking for iSCSI on vSphere hosts.

Deploy and use ONTAP tools to configure storage.
