The ONTAP tools for VMware vSphere manages provisioning of datastores and virtual-machines in VMware environments that use NetApp storage backends. ONTAP tools VASA provider supports high scale requirements for Virtual volumes (vVols). It supports NFS protocol, iSCSI protocol, and OVA deployment. VASA Provider for VMware is a product that provides lifecycle management in a VMware deployment with ONTAP.
