The 6.2 release of SnapCenter software includes the following new feature.

SnapCenter 6.2 (server and plug-ins) along with ONTAP 9.17.1 supports both primary and secondary protection of applications running on physical systems (Linux and Windows) and Virtual Machine File Systems (VMFS) utilizing hierarchical consistency groups. After you upgrade to SnapCenter 6.2 and ONTAP 9.17.1, SnapCenter changes flat consistency groups to hierarchical consistency groups during the first scheduled backup. |
