You can use the Edit Initiator Group dialog box in ONTAP System Manager classic (available in ONTAP 9.7 and earlier) to change the name of an existing initiator in an initiator group.
Steps

Click Storage > LUNs.

In the Initiator Groups tab, select the initiator group to which the initiator belongs, and then click Edit.

In the Edit Initiator Group dialog box, click Initiators.

Select the initiator that you want to edit and click Edit.

Change the name and click OK.

Click Save and Close.
