Stale devices can be left behind in the Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) environment when SnapDrive for UNIX operations fail due to configuration issues. These stale devices are not automatically deleted, so you need to know the workaround.
Workaround
Run either the native rescan script provided by the vendor to remove all old entries or the rescan script using the rescan-scsibus.sh --r
command that is included with sg3
packages.
