san.LifsPerNodeLimit

Severity

ERROR

Description

This message occurs in MetroCluster(tm) configurations on clustered Data ONTAP® systems, when Data ONTAP cannot replicate a SAN or NVMe logical interface (LIF) in the destination cluster due to the LIF limits per node per Vserver.

Corrective Action

Make sure all the nodes are online by running "storage failover show" command on both the clusters. If a node is taken-over by its HA partner, giveback the node using "storage failover giveback -ofnode <name_of_node_to_giveback>". Once the nodes are online and healthy, run the "metrocluster vserver resync -vserver <vserver_name>" from the source cluster. Verify the vserver's configuration-state is healthy using "metrocluster vserver show -vserver <vserver_name>" command. Contact technical support for assistance if configuration-state of the vserver does not change to healthy.

Syslog Message

Metrocluster does not support more than %s %s LIFs per node per Vserver.

Parameters

limit (STRING): LIF limit supported on Metrocluster
data_protocol (STRING): Data protocol of the LIF that exceeds the LIF per node per Vserver limit.
